These five prints from the Hong Kong Series are so bright and fresh. I call these painting style my "Shake and Bake" technique.
First I splash on a transparent triad of Cobalt blue, Aureolin, and Cad Red Medium. Then I use negative painting to find the positive forms that create the busy feeling of the City. Stacking squares, signs, lettering, windows, and metal roofing give the feeling of the unplanned architecture that typifies this interesting corner of the world.
