Relax, explore the beauty of nature and open your mind to seeing the world from a new perspective — through the eyes of an artist. In our Outdoor Watercolor Painting adventure, an internationally acclaimed artist teaches you step-by-step the art of Plein Air painting — literally “painting outdoors.” Whether you’re a beginner trying watercolor painting for the first time, or an avid hobbyist, you can learn new techniques and see dramatic improvements in your work. Instructor Gayle Weisfield will provide small group and individual, hands-on instruction to help you sharpen your eye and improve your skill.

The Northwest Watercolor Society was founded in Seattle, Washington, in 1939 to promote an interest in and an appreciation for watercolor as an artistic medium. The society expanded in 1992 to include members across the United States and Canada. Since then, NWWS has grown steadily in membership numbers and status, earning a position as one of the ten most prominent regional societies in North America as ranked by "The Artist's Magazine". The NWWS is dedicated to the artistic growth of its members and to being a major artistic resource in the Northwest.

Watercolor Online - is dedicated to the promotion of all forms of watercolor and the artists who create works in the various media encompassed by this broad classification.
